Five for Friday

Yea, it’s finally Friday! It has been such a busy week. I am linking up for the first time with Doodle Bugs Teaching for the Five for Friday Linky Party.

five for friday linky

This is a linky party where I am going to post five random things from this past week.

screamThis week was our Costume Parade at school. It is the kids favorite night of school. They come in their costume that night, cross the stage and get their name announced. That’s the highlight of their day. So simple yet so fun. Here is one of my kids that was so excited to come.

inferringMy class has really liked doing the describing and inferring activity that I bought from Jen Jones at Hello Literacy. There is a picture that I project on the board daily and the kids work together with a partner to infer what the picture is and why they think that. The kids write a sentence about what they inferred.

little witchMy daughter at the Fall Festival at church. I just love this little witch! We had such a good time.

We did a Fall Scavenger Hunt. There were fall math word problems in our hall and the students had to go find the number and answer the word problem that was on the leaf. All the 3rd graders have a lot of fun going around and answering the word problems. It’s just a different way to practice math word problems. You can look at in my store.

wreathOf course it was Halloween!  This wreath is my favorite new Halloween decoration. My vice principal is making wreaths as a fundraiser for Relay for Life.

Hope you had a great week! Make sure to go by  Doodle Bugs Teaching to check out the other blogs.
