Make sure you are prepared for an emergency with these sub plans. These substitute plans are no-prep, easy to use, and include digital activities. Don’t stress about having an expected absence anymore. These fun sub plans are used with the story “Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs” by Judi Barrett.

There are 2 days worth of activities. These activities are easily copied and put in a folder or added to a Google Classroom for a sub to use with this one book. There are twelve activities to last through the 2 days while still doing your daily activities. There are even some additional ideas listed that you can do.

This can also be used by a teacher as a mini-unit that can be done over several days.

For 2nd, 3rd, or 4th graders.

• Cause and Effect activity – match the cause with the effect hands-on activity
• Sandwich Summary – make a summary with bread, peanut butter, and jelly
• Plan a Menu- make a weekly menu for the town

• Grammar Pancake Breakfast- put the correct nouns, verbs, and adjectives pancakes on the correct plate
• Math word problems that go along with the book (2 different levels)- one and two-step word problems with multiplication, division, addition, subtraction, and fractions.

• Graphing activity-with spinner, bar graph, and questions
• Crossword Puzzle
• Making clouds lesson- using cotton balls to make 3 types of clouds
