Are you looking for a way to make teaching reading more interactive? Secret picture tile puzzles are what you are looking for. These are fun and interactive for kids.
What are Secret Picture Tile Puzzles
Secret picture tiles are a puzzle. Half of the page has 12 questions. The other half of the page has 12 answers. The kids move the answers to the question. If they get it correct then they make a picture. This is a great self-grading activity.
These are a fun way for kids to work on their reading comprehension skills. There are several types. One type is just a matching of synonyms or antonyms. Another type has passages on one page and the comprehension questions on the puzzle.
The printable version is fun for the kids. Watch the video below to see how it works. The kids really enjoy cutting, matching, and gluing the tiles on the board.
The digital version works well for distance learning. It is great for Google Classroom. Just download and assign it to your students. They read the passage and then drag the answers over to the question.
